Hollywood's Appetite for Graphic Novels - podcast
Eddie Gamarra, literary manager and producer from The Gotham Group, talks about comic book and graphic novel trends, including the staying power of graphic novels and the rise of independent comics. People are looking beyond DC and Marvel, to places like Image Comics, for example, which is a different kind of business model. The creators themselves are the ones who are at the steering wheel, as opposed to the big corporations. There are different kinds of homes for different kinds of projects. Great news, great post. I have a feeling that my natural artistic style would better suit the graphic novel format. Been a big fan for many years, but haven't a collection of my own. Perhaps it is time I did.
