As a post-production supervisor for films, Sheryl Benko works on everything that happens after the shooting for a movie is complete. She oversees components such as picture editing, sound design, and visual effects, making sure that the process stays on schedule and within budget. The work days can be long, like any work in the film industry, but it’s exciting to see the whole movie come together. Benko used to think the bulk of the movie was made in the shooting process, but so much of it is shaped and formed in post-production. This experience has given her a new understanding and appreciation of those who work behind the scenes.
