Brian Dunlap, President of Design Social Media, offers branding advice for authors. He stresses the importance of strongly identifying either yourself, as an author, or your book as a brand. Dunlap advises that the two keys to successful brand recognition are finding a target audience and presenting a consistent identity to that audience across all of your media channels, from book cover design, to website design, to incorporating brand elements into your social media profiles.
