He knows many authors who are spending at least as much time marketing themselves and their books as they are creating the books. Online marketing for authors may include social media, reviews, outreach on Goodreads, and creating a website. And, unfortunately, Miller says, an author will have to do all this work on his or her own. Publishers won’t assist in the process unless the author is majorly popular. You can, however, enlist the help of friends, family, or professionals to strengthen your marketing strategies.
