Marketing Children's Books - podcast
A holistic use of text, images and themes around topics like bullying, acceptance, tolerance and self-esteem helped author and illustrator Kathryn Otoshi redefine how she marketed children's books. Integrating such themes allowed her to expand from a target market of age 3-7 up to 9th grade. Otoshi adapts readings according to her audience, delving into her filmmaking background and decision-making around text, image and meaning for high schoolers. Communities have since rallied around the books, given the inspirational nature and effect on kids.

Thank you Kathryn for the suggestion. I shall take that on board. I shall approach the schools if they would let me read my recently self published book 'THE TALE OF BRAVE RITCHIE'

That was good about how she presented her book and to whom, but it didn't address the subject: "Marketing Children's Books," in general for the rest of us. I look forward to seeing one of her books now.
