SlideShare offers a unique opportunity for authors to market themselves and their books. SlideShare allows you to share PowerPoint slides that you've created through a social network. Once your PowerPoint slides are uploaded to SlideShare, you can link to the presentation or embed it in other websites. Suzette Conway, former director of the Author Learning Center, discusses how to use SlideShare for book marketing and author branding. She says SlideShare helps people find you when they search on Google. Nonfiction authors can leverage this tool by sharing information like you would for a business meeting. For fiction, try getting creative. Have your character build a presentation. Give a snippet of a presentation that you've given, or share something from an upcoming event.
