After suffering immense personal tragedy, Adrianne took solace in her faith and the testimony of others who had gone through similar experiences and come out on the other side. The more she shared her story, the more stories others shared with her. So she set a goal to write a book to serve as a resource for grieving parents and sympathetic friends and family.
Joining the Author Learning Center was a key step in helping her reach her goal.
"Every time I participate in one of the ALC webinars, I feel so encouraged to keep writing. I love hearing from real people, and real authors, who've found a way to be successful. Also, the ability to ask questions, and get a practical, kind response is so nice. The Author Learning Center makes writing professionally seem possible and attainable. I've learned so much and feel better equipped to pursue my dream of being a professional author and writer."
"My advice for other aspiring authors is to get on the ALC and find support. Do your research, and don't give up. People need to hear the story you have to tell."
Whether you've had a miscarriage, stillbirth, lost an infant, gave up a child for adoption, or even aborted a baby – there's grace for you here. Adrianne Babbitt and her husband, Chuck, lost their son, Timothy Lyle Babbitt, May 9, 2016, due to a miscarriage – leading to the creation of Babbitt's blog, which she titled "The Child I Never Held." After suffering such a devastating loss, she went through a whirlwind of emotions, including times when she was angry at God. She even went through periods when instead of being comforted by Scripture, it unsettled her. By continuing to look to the Bible and her faith, however, she found the comfort and peace she was looking for – and she now believes that her story isn't done yet. One day, she will see her son again. Filled with Scripture, faith-based lessons, and accounts from individuals who have struggled with loss, this resource is a must-have for anyone struggling with grief.
