Following his service as a Marine during the Vietnam conflict in 1968, Bruce knew he needed to preserve and share his stories. Yet, Bruce was a soldier. What did he know about the writing and publishing process?
That's when he discovered the Author Learning Center (ALC)…
I knew I wanted to preserve my stories, and a few of the most cogent tales from some of the other guys who were with me in Vietnam. I wrote my book as a memoir about my thirteen month tour of duty in Vietnam. I served as a Marine Corps infantry grunt during the turbulent year of 1968.
I started out knowing almost nothing. The ALC taught me everything I know about writing, publishing, and marketing. The ALC's information, advice and education proved to be just the ticket. They helped me develop the skills I needed to bring my memoir to life. The wealth of information available was fantastic. I really appreciated the guided outlines presented in the webinars and how the Book Launch tool enabled me to create a feasible time table. The ALC's guidance was essential in helping me navigate the process and successfully complete my book.
Now, I tell all the writers and aspiring writers I know to enroll with ALC. There's always something to learn. Don't spin your wheels. Get prepared and get it done.
This is an intimate look at life in the bush during the Vietnam War in 1968. You will experience the daily struggles, battles, and funny things that happen to a USMC grunt living in the bush for 13 months. You'll see firsthand through the battles, what Marines ate and drank, where they slept and their existence that ranged from unmitigated terror to utter boredom, hot & dry to wet & cold, rested and ready to frazzled and wired. You'll watch as a kid grows philosophically and confident, able to handle stress and strain, learning about friendship, love, difficulty, danger, deprivation, and loss. His friends are American kids from all different walks of life, backgrounds, races, and learning. The common element among them is their humanity, bravery, and willingness to risk their lives to help one another. They all were simply just a bunch of American boys doing their job, taking their chances, hoping to go home to the real world from an unreal world.
We're so confident the ALC can help you the way it helped Bruce, we want to pay for your first 30 days.
