What made you first interested in the Write Your Memoir program, and how did you hear about it?

I have been following Hayhouse for quite a while. My interest in writing a memoir was the desire to share my story with others and give a voice to Peace Corps Volunteers. A friend that I wrote letters to who came to visit me in my country told me people would love to hear about my life working in such a wonderful but challenging place. Your program came up while I was trying to decide to write my memoir, and the timing was perfect!

What were the most useful features of the program?

Hearing from authors and what they had to say from their experience was very valuable! I liked that you provided a balance of material. And I used them all. It really motivated me to get busy and not forget the dream. I was not too interested in circle comments, but it did bring me a valuable contact.

If there was one thing you could change, add, or get rid of with the Write Your Memoir program, what would it be?

I would keep things the way they are. What I value may be different from what others find valuable. The 3 month timeline seems short for me, but then again I am writing at a relaxed pace. Having something available on writing a memoir was critical for my motivation to actually get writing. I need that online push to keep going.

Would you recommend this program and/ or the Author Learning Center to a friend?

Yes, if somebody was serious about writing!
