During his time in the military, Paul McIntyre was compared to Charles Dickens. This association wasn't a surprise to Paul—he'd always had the desire to write. He had been writing articles and stories for most of his life, and eventually he created a character that he believed would make a great book. That was when he discovered the ALC and was able to bring his character and story to life.
See what Paul had to say about his experience:
I started writing while I was in the service, but once I was out, I realized I couldn't share the classified details of my own military career. So I created a detective character through whom I could tell my stories. Since this was my first book, I needed to have a plan. The Book Launch Tool gave me a step-by-step guide for my manuscript and helped me bring my character to life.
My lead character, Tim Stone, is an expert at solving missing person cases—but there is always more to the story. Whether it's a murder, a drug deal gone bad, or a government conspiracy, Stone gets into all kinds of trouble.
After I wrote the book, I needed to make sure I was ready to do the marketing. The webinars taught me how to target my audience and create an elevator pitch so I was always ready to talk about my book. It's been fun and exciting to become a published author and I am already working on my next book in the Tim Stone series, so stay tuned.
Private Detective Tim Stone grew up wanting to make something of himself—so he became a detective specialized in solving missing person cases. But no case is cut and dry, and they often morph into something else entirely. Whether it's a murder, a conspiracy, or a drug deal...you just never know until the case is solved.
