Then she discovered the Author Learning Center (ALC)…
When I was teaching, I realized that too many students weren't learning essential life skills such as respect, manners, values, or even the importance of education. Today's parents are just too busy to remember to actively focus on teaching these things to their kiddos. I knew I wanted to write a book that could serve as a guide and tool for parents.
The Author Learning Center has been such a blessing to me! Every time I felt like giving up I'd get something useful in my email from the ALC. When I needed help moving forward, The Book-in-a-Year program kept me going.
I also love the webinars. Each one is put on by experts in their respective fields and has been extremely informative. I didn't realize how much I didn't know!
When I have a specific question, I really appreciate being able to search the articles. Now that the book has launched, I'm finding all sorts of information on marketing.
My advice to other aspiring authors is definitely to join the ALC. It's easier, faster, and cheaper than getting a degree in book publishing.
