How to Write a Winning Book Proposal - podcast
Today more than ever, editors and literary agents are looking for marketable nonfiction books. As a writer, you don’t want to hurt your chances of getting published by querying without a strong book proposal. Carol Hoenig, freelance writer, author, and publishing consultant, teaches you how to write a nonfiction book proposal. Hoenig has helped several authors secure agents and book deals by helping them with their book proposals, and in this webinar she shares her expert tips of how to put together a winning book proposal for a nonfiction book. The topics she covers in this presentation include: why you need a book proposal; what's in a book proposal; details about each part of a proposal, including the working title, overview, author bio, audience, competition, marketing and promotional opportunities, manuscript specifications, outline, and sample chapters; and how and when to send a query letter. If you are serious about getting your nonfiction book published, this presentation is for you.
