Author Angela Marie Hutchinson didn't intend to write her book, "Create Your Yes: When You Keep Hearing No: A 12-Step Strategy for Success". It stemmed from a TEDx talk that she presented on the topic of breaking barriers. The theme of her presentation was around rejections in all aspects of life and turning "No" into "Yes". Her literary agent then encouraged her to take that content and create a book proposal that he could pitch to publishers. Hutchinson then did a lot of research on TEDx talks that have become books to see what elements her book needed to include to be marketable. This helped create the comparable analysis and marketing strategy in her book proposal. She and her agent also focused on how her perspective and expertise on the topic are unique.
