Tips for Writing Dialogue - video
When you're writing a book, it's easy to make the mistake of writing all your characters to sound like you. Author Bob Martin offers tips for writing dialogue in a novel. Also, don't use dialogue tags, such as "he said brusquely," as a crutch to enhance lackluster dialogue. The dialogue itself should indicate how a character delivers it.
