While family and friends may be the most powerful support system for an author, they are usually not the best candidates for writing feedback or advice. Getting honest feedback from friends or family is challenging because it's difficult for them to separate the writer from the writing. A writer's best resources for honest feedback and legitimate criticism are other experienced writers, as screenwriter, playwright, and author Art Holcomb explains. He recommends finding an experienced mentor or coach, if needed, but you have to be ready for their opinion. When you are open to their feedback it will help take your writing to the next level.
Very interesting thanks for your input I listen to this video twiced
Thanks Art for shooting from the hip. I like the fact that you do not care what people think about you regarding you comments about their work. I am 39 years old and have been for 27 years. My concepts and thoughts race thru my mind, but I am not able to get them written or typed fast enough. As a result, I keep missing important sections. I am looking forward to my first web class on February 16 to hear from others.
