Patricia L. Brooks on Founding and Developing the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers - video

When founder Patricia L. Brooks established the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers her vision was to build a community and offer support in a non-threatening format. She was participating in other groups in her region but felt something like this was needed in the immediate Scottsdale area. As an author and publishing consultant, Brooks knows that writing can be a lonely business. It was important to her to create an environment where women writers can come together to get the support and encouragement they need. The organization welcomes all types of writers and tries to focus on the actual writing and not so much the business and networking aspects.
