  • Boy, can I relate. I was doing 500 piece adult jigsaw puzzles when I was 4 and the thinking pattern stuck. I call it my jigsaw puzzle mind. I'm so happy to learn a successful author creates in that way. I've felt penned in and stultified by the "outline the whole thing and then and expand upon it" methodology. Thanks! Also, I love the way you took a salty dog's irreverent comment as keystone for a beautiful, sensitive book. Wow!
  • i can relate to the jigsaw type of writing which is exactly what i did in writing about my life story.
