Tips for Plotting a Fiction Book - video
In the writing world, there are two different kinds of writers: planners and pantsers. Planners work from an outline, while pantsers let the story flow as it comes to mind, working off the seat of their pants. As a ghostwriter, Claudia Suzanne feels that working from an outline is more efficient due to deadlines and expectations that come from working with another party. She discusses the effective tactics she uses when plotting a fiction book using plot points, starting with the inciting incident. In some cases, books have a fantastic beginning and ending, but the middle is suffering. To fix this problem, she uses a practice called meet in the middle. Once you have followed these tips to plot your novel, you can begin to work on character development.
