The writing process and path to publishing can be very intimidating for new writers. Self-published author Rob Wingerter shares tips on how new writers can get past that feeling of being overwhelmed. First, don't hesitate to take the plunge if you haven't already started. Get your ideas together and just go for it, he says. Second, he recommends that new writers understand both their short term and long term goals. By having short term goals you will be able to continue feeling accomplished along the way. He cautions new writers to understand that you may not feel inspired to write every day, but you must be disciplined and press on. For Wingerter, there are few events in life that feel as exhilarating as holding that first copy of your book. Keep this end goal in mind as you continue to push through any challenges.
