For cookbook author Jonathan Bardzik, there are three critical elements for creating a bestselling cookbook: 1) Be strategic, 2) Be passionate, and 3) Be operational. First, an author must be clear on the concept and angle up front. Second, if an author really cares about the topic it will take the work to a whole other level. Last, an author needs to have a strong PR, marketing and distribution plan early on to maximize success.
