Malaysian author Eric Teh has come across many people that are feeling negative about life's direction, whether that's due to work, studies, relationships, or family. Teh himself felt that way, which is what initially inspired him to explore learning about new things in pursuit of happiness. After reading numerous self-help books, Teh realized there was a need for this type of information and inspiration aimed at students in Malaysia. He saw the opportunity to empower people, so he quit his career in computer science and started his own training and personal development business. Teh wanted to help others take control of their lives and follow their true passions. Knowing a book would be a great way to establish credibility in the field and supplement his business, Teh started writing his self-help book, Life Sucks! He completed the book in just five weeks, self-published, and now uses it as his business card. The key to a quick turnaround for Teh was following his gut as he was writing.
