Hi Kweisi Gharreau, Thank you for a very inspiring video. I'm a poet publishing my first book of poetry this year and I can't express to you the joy I felt to hear someone else talk about how emotions such as grief and anger lead them to write poetry. That is exactly my experience with poetry to date too. Thank you.

I appreciate this video because my poetry is basically a way of expressing my emotions, especially when they are deep and very conflicted. The emotions are more important to me than the style of the poetry. In a college setting that has been a problem for me. Professors and literary magazine editors have not been satisfied with the level of the language or the complexity of the literary devices I use. I am looking for the increasing improvement in self-expression that has to do with the emotional power I can handle, the emotional connections I can make. I really resonated with this writer's statement that he sometimes finds he hasn't gone deep enough and has to cut off the poem where he is, acknowledging he isn't ready yet to go farther with that particular poem right then.

Hi kweisi I feel your range of connecting poetry and the dealing with emotions very true. I also applied this direction with my own. Firstly the subject in question, list of events, opening into jovial-spirited one liners. Thankyou Kweisi-Dave
