Freelance writer and publicist Lindsey Gobel was approached in 2010 to ghostwrite a book for retired professional racecar driver and team owner Sarah Fisher. Gobel was already doing public relations work for Fisher when presented with the book idea. She had been writing press releases and articles for the racing team and was very familiar with Fisher's communication strategy and voice. This inside knowledge made the co-authoring opportunity a no brainer for Gobel. Released in 2010 by Beaufort Books, 99 Things Women Wish They Knew Before Getting Behind the Wheel of Their Dream Job gives women the knowledge and tools to broaden their careers. As a part of the 99 Series of self-help books, this collaboration between Gobel and Fisher offers success stories and tips aimed at creating opportunities for a new generation of women leaders.
