The Value of a Blog Tour - podcast

Blog tours for authors are a trend of the times. These days, publishers usually do not send authors on an actual book tour, and authors are expected to market themselves. Leah Ingram, spokesperson and author of "Suddenly Frugal: How to Live Happier and Healthier for Less," talks about how valuable a blog tour can be for an author. It's an efficient way to get the word out about your book. To get started, reach out to like-minded bloggers and see if they will post one of your articles, videos, podcasts, book trailers or other materials on their blogs. These guest posts ultimately push traffic and visibility back to your own blog so that you can increase readership and potentially boost book sales.

    Your information is excellent. I have been using most what you suggested since I published my first book three years ago and have a large following on twitter and face book. If your posts are interesting and relates to your book you will get followers and hopefully buyers.

    I am sure this is great advise for those know all the computer lingo. I am not familiar with any if this 'blogging, Facebook, etc.., I guess I am in the gap between using the phone and writing a letter on paper. It's time learn about social media I suppose!
