Don't Let Rejection Deter You - video
Rejection happens—it happens to every aspiring author. It's how you handle the rejection that determines whether or not you reach your goal of getting published. Robert Dugoni, New York Times bestselling author of legal thrillers, offers his perspective on the meaning of rejection, how to handle rejection from a publisher, and how to use it as a tool to improve. He says that you can't let the fear of rejection stop you from fulfilling your publishing dream. This interview will encourage you to be tenacious in the face of rejection. It will remind you that even the biggest authors have dealt with rejection, and if they can overcome it, so can you.

I am not concerned much with getting a rejection letter b/c for me, just putting the thoughts on paper and watching the story grow gives me a great sense of accomplishment even if it's only one sentence that day. Sometimes the next day may bring a whole page of writing! The important thing for me is to not set standards, like maybe two pages a day, because if the story is not flowing, I don't push it b/c that takes away from the joy of writing and therefore, there goes my feeling of accomplishment.

My family won't talk to me anymore because my fiction book is too true! They threatened to sue me even though I changed names and places. I do have a loving husband who encourages me though. My first book More Miserable in Green Valley Ranch should be published sometime this month through Xlibris. Can't wait!
