Self-Published Novel Picked up by Traditional Publisher - podcast

Self-publishing helped author P.J. Hoover sell both her book "Solstice" and "The Middle Grade Story" to a traditional publisher. She credits the publicity she initiated and the way she outlined these efforts for the publisher for facilitating the book deal.

  • Nice to learn of your success. AND how you achieved it! May it continue. . .
  • great story! thanks for sharing!
  • Thank you Ms. Hoover for sharing your story with the writing community. It's a wonderful event that you were able to find a traditional publisher. In recognizing all of your hard work, the traditional publishers are recognizing the work of independent publishers. That's wonderful. I will stick with the indie publishers because I am aiming for a niche audience and many of the big publishing houses may not have the niche audience I'm aiming for. The indie publishers have really encouraged me and nurtured me and I am happy with them. I don't ever want to leave such wonderful people. Natasha Murphy
