New York Times and USA Today bestselling romance author Bella Andre, who writes under three separate pen names, discusses her writing process and schedule, including how her process changes from book to book. Like most authors, Andre believes she has a muse, but she is able to channel the muse on demand. She encourages other authors to experiment and do what works best for them.

    That resonated. I write really fast too. I love it. The rush of learning what the story wants. Scary too but sooo good.

    In a memoir, do I need to fictionalize names of people I knew at the time and who affected my life? Should I use a fictional name myself to protect my adult children? I need an answer to this before I can publish as I will have to go through the entire book and redo everything. Please give me some advice! Thanks.

    Thank you I am more motivated than ever because I finally realize It makes me happy to write and I cant worry about if it is any good or if anyone will like it. Just write for the love of it!

    Bill - one piece of advice comes from John Locke (https://www.authorlearningcenter.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=john+locke&x=0&y=0). He suggests you avoid research while you are writing. Just make notes about what you need to fill in with research and keep moving. That way you don't get distracted while writing by looking up the name of a street or a building in your town, for instance.
